Taylor Shilling is best known for playing the lead Piper on Orange is the New Black. It hopes to break out amongst surefire hits IT: Chapter 2, The Curse of La Llorona, Happy Death Day 2U, Jordan Peele's Us and the remake of Pet Sematary. The Prodigy arrives in the early part of 2019. This week sees the release of Escape Room in theaters, marking what promises to be one hell of a year in horror. And it all starts with The Prodigy, which proves that death is never the end. Taylor Shilling will finally be saying goodbye to her iconic Piper character, focusing on her burgeoning film career. She is forced to look for answers in the past, taking the audience on a wild ride one where the line between perception and reality remains blurry. Fearing for her family's safety, Sarah must grapple with her maternal instinct to love and protect Miles in favor of investigating what - or who - is causing his dark turn. In her much-anticipated foray into the horror-thriller genre, Taylor Schilling stars in The Prodigy as Sarah, a mother whose young son Miles' disturbing behavior signals that an evil, possibly supernatural force has overtaken him.
